From the time of Pilote-Actualités magazine (back in 1968) onwards, Christian Godard began to write comic books scripts for other artists, encouraged in this by René Goscinny, with whom he had worked for over ten years. Numerous stories appeared from then on in the magazine, written by him, and drawn by the like of Reiser, Fred, Delinx, Alexis, Loro, Morchoisne, Mulatier, Hubuc, Ribera, and a few others. Elsewhere, he also worked with artist Dany, whose name was still Henrotin back then, and Mittéi. La Jungle en Folie (The Jungle gone wild) would see the light of day at the end of 1969, and Axle Munshine, The Vagabond of Limbo, in 1972.
