CHILDREN'S BOOKS

We asked Christian Godard if he had ever written for children.
Here’s his answer: “I’ve always dreamed of writing for youngsters, for small children. You know the kind of thing: “ My name is Cumulot, and I’m a little cloud... I wish I could settle for good somewhere, once and for all, unfortunately I always have to fly away, as there is too much wind... I don’t like the wind, ‘cos it’s so mean to me... And it makes me so very sad and gray-looking, and then I cry... And when I cry, I get all skinny, and so cold... If one fine day I could only meet a big stratocumulus, I would ask him "Please draw me a flash of lightning..." and it would keep me warm…” See what I mean? A new kind of The Little Prince, a best-selling children’s book that would sell by millions... It was this unfulfilled ambition that led me to experiment with the few examples below…
